On Thursday Bloomberg reported that Warburg Pincus had “recently held discussions” about buying Quilter, the drab UK money manager. "While Warburg Pincus isn’t currently in formal talks with Quilter, it remains interested in a potential deal,” the report said, citing people familiar with the matter. Quilter shares are down 3.2 per cent at pixel, having been a bit volatile post Bloomberg’s report.
